Boring
Mill Services
MAH Machine's Milling Department
encompasses everything from small Bridgeports to large horizontal boring
mills with capacity up to 20,000 lbs. Because MAH Machine has twelve boring
mills, there are no worries about delays due to equipment failures. Our
boring mills are equipped with CNC Controls and regularly achieve tolerances
of .0005"
The Milling Department runs two shifts
daily, providing quick deliveries without added costs. We can handle most
milling requirements from small keyways to gear housings and side frames,
singly or in pairs.
Gear
Cutting
| MAH Machine's Gear Cutting Department
is well equipped and well staffed to handle most customer gear cutting
needs including helical, spur, splines, sprockets and pulleys (rollchain,
silent chain, htd as well as many others). We can work from your sample
or your print.
We can produce gears from 1/2" to
32" in diameter, and threads up to 4 1/2" diameter and 50' long. Emergency
overnight delivery is available upon request. |

Turning
& Grinding
MAH Machine's Turning Department
is fully equipped with manual, tracer and CNC lathes. We are able to handle
production runs as well as one-of-a-kind work. We are capable of forming
threads from butrice and acme to American standard and metric.
Our maximum lathe capacity is 53"
in diameter on 21' centers. We can deep bore up to 100" through.
MAH Machine's Grinding Department
includes O.D. grinders with capacity up to 26" Diameter x 170" long, I.D.
grinders with capacity up to 30" Diameter x 16" long, and blanchard grinders
with capacity up to 42," as well as surface grinders. The maximum finish
available is 4 microns.
Rollers
& Cylinders
Our
specialty is the manufacture of rollers and cylinders in a variety
of lengths, diameters and materials. We are capable of handling
sizes from less than an inch, to 53" in diameter, and up to 21'
long with concentricity tolerances to .0003."
Our years of experience in the field
of industrial roll manufacturing has allowed us to develop specialized
tools and the expertise to correctly manufacture rolls, mandrels or shafts.
MAH Machine can produce parts from
steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and plastic, and is capable of coating
parts with stainless steel, copper, chrome, nickel and ceramic. As in all
other departments, we are set up to handle production runs as well as specialty
and prototype parts.
Our Repair Department provides substantial
cost savings to our customers. Damaged rollers and cylinders, instead of
being discarded, are reprocessed to like-new condition.
Welding
& Fabricating
MAH
Machine's Welding and Fabricating Department can run up to 4 men
per shift. In addition to welding rollers and fabrications for
new parts, we also do extensive repair work. MAH Machine can also
weld aluminum, alloy steel and stainless steel as well as standard
steel grades.
Dynamic
Balancing
The balancing department is another
example of MAH Machine's investment in improved overall services for our
customers. We now can perform these services in-house. This provides more
control over the total manufacturing process, as well as expedient delivery.
Our balancing capacity is up to 5,000
lbs. and 60" in diameter. Balancing is performed to customer specifications
or in some cases to improve a product even if it does not specify balancing.
Assembly
& Rebuilding
The assembly department at MAH Machine
has virtually unlimited resources in both manpower and facilities. These
resources include 25,000 square feet of assembly area and the ability to
allocate as many man hours as necessary, on a two shift basis to handle
any project.
MAH Machine also performs extensive
rebuilding of existing equipment for a variety of customers. Rebuilding
services include welding, plating, fabricating, and other specialized services
such as brush plating. Brush plating is done in-house at MAH Machine in
either cobalt, nickel, or chrome.
These rebuilding services can usually
restore a part to original specifications and tolerances at a significant
cost savings over new parts.
